Try One More Time
Here's a favorite quote from A.J. Kitt:

"You have no control over what the other guy does. You only have control over what you do."

How many people today live lives of perpetual victimhood? How many people stop cold at going after what they want because things didn't fall into place perfectly?

The answer to both questions probably is in the millions -- if not in the billions! Hopefully it doesn't include you!

With so much of our lives wrapped up in waiting for others to take care of our needs -- parents, teachers, bosses, government, etc. -- it's easy to slip into a mindset that somebody is responsible for making things work out the way we want it.

And when it doesn't, we go all victim-y.

"It's not fair! I didn't get the advantages I needed! The deck was stacked against me!"

Know what to do when the deck is stacked against you, though? Cut the cards. Or get a new deck. Or switch to a different game.

Your options are endless. You just have to choose something that you actually DO to try to change the situation.

That's what it takes. Take action and you take control. And when you take control, good things happen.
