If You're Still Just Thinking About Starting Your Own Business
Right now is one of the two biggest times of the year for starting something new, right behind January with its New Year's resolutions.
This is a time when we're programmed to get back to work. Even if it's been a looong time since you had a summer-long vacation from school, that summer vacation thing is programmed into our very being.
Businesses traditionally slow down over summer. Then September comes and it's back to work!
The pace gets quicker. The boss pushes a little harder.
If you love your job, that's fine. If you don't, you still have the bills to pay. Not the best form of motivation, but effective.
If you're not particularly thrilled about getting back into the more hectic pace of the work year, it's time to get serious about starting that side job and trying to turn it into your new source of support.
No, you won't push a button and be able to quit your current job two weeks from now. But you never get to your destination if you never take that first step.
