A couple of years ago, NicheBOT came on the scene to challenge Wordtracker for the best keyword research tool. Their early efforts were miles above the other free keyword research tools, but still far short of Wordtracker.
I'm not so sure they haven't passed Wordtracker now. They just finished a massive reworking of their entire system into a powerful system that not only gives you access directly into some of the best features of Wordtracker, but also into some of the other best keyword tools available.
It has truly become a tool that lets you combine the best of the best in keyword research.
Granted, with all the work they did revamping it, it's no longer a free tool. But it comes pretty close to free for trying it out. You can check out all its features for a full month for only $1.
