Living in a Bigger Universe
Are you one of the many people who launch their first business because they want to get out of the workday world? Many simply want to get away from bosses' demands and irritating coworkers. But drawing back from the world is a surefire path to failure.

If anything, when you start a business, you need to expand your world. You need become MORE aware of others and their needs, because your only income comes from your ability to identify and supply what people are looking for.

You can't hide behind the anonymity of the Internet and hope to make a living. Business is not an insulated shelter into which you can escape from the world.

I'm not saying that it's impossible to live as the center of your own universe. The problem is, you have to settle for living in a really tiny universe. The more of the world you shut out, the smaller your universe becomes.

Expand your universe. Venture out to discover and understand those strange and unpredictable creatures called customers.
